Trois Miniatures
Written in 2017, Trois Miniatures, for vibraphone depicts three different soundscapes in a non-tonal language but with a very clear focus
for each movement: F, E and E flat.
The first movement is lively with a more songful middle section.
The second is a kind of melancholic nocturne in a poetic atmosphere.
In the third, we find the joyful character of the first, but this time the alternating pattern between the right hand and the left hand forms a
perpetual movement until a brilliant ending.
Trois Miniatures was first performed by Swann Van Rechem, to whom the works were dedicated, in January 2018 at the Conservatoire
National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
