Free solo (ascension d’un violoncelle désencordé)

Unencumbered by strings or ties, the cello embarks on an inward ascent, each note seeking its foothold.
At first slow and contemplative, the melody rises step by step, as if scaling a distant wall. Gradually, the line unfolds, gathering momentum and breath, until it becomes a determined Vivace—the climb grows bolder, more urgent.
At the summit, tension crystallizes into a sonic light before descending back toward the resolution of the initial theme, like a return to oneself after the peak.
Free Solo thus explores the heights we reach when movement, risk, and freedom hang on a single gesture.
