I’ve always been intrigued by the correlation between organ and voice.
It was in the spirit of a choral treatment, with restrained, almost subterranean flights, that I conceived this work.
But I would never have composed it without the assurance of benefiting from the immense registration experience of my dear friend Thierry Escaich.
This work is dedicated to him, and I’ll always have fond memories of those precious moments when I watched him decipher the score with great ease, while proposing various registration options with great understanding of my music.
