Hypnotic (Frenetic)

Hypnotic is a single-breath piece, a continuous trajectory where energy unfolds from the near-cadenza opening to an incandescent climax. The work moves through several states: initially suspended, it gradually thickens, becoming frenetic, hypnotic, and then paroxysmal—a true musical trance driven by pulsation.
This sustained rhythmic tension, fueled by obsessive motifs and dynamic contrasts, draws inspiration from both the world of metal and improvised music. The trio finds a space of freedom and confrontation: the euphonium and tuba, both accomplices and rivals, engage in dialogue with a piano that alternates between driving force, catalyst, and detonator.
After the first climax, a brief, calming cadence offers a moment of respite before a frenzied coda reasserts the energy of the main theme in a final release.

Hypnotic is an immersion in motion, in the fascinated repetition of sound—a music of trance, tension, and jubilation.
