The tuning of the santûr remains faithful to traditional Persian modes, but in resonance with the quartet, it becomes part of an ephemeral sound universe where timbres intertwine and unravel, searching for each other without ever losing each other.
À l’Orée is a journey through light and darkness, a quest for harmony in a fractured world. A land I carry within me, where light is often stifled, but never extinguished. Thus, the strings twinkle like stars, before slowly falling back to earth, gliding towards the horizon, where shadows gently dissipate and a sunset becomes the promise of a new dawn. An attempt to find a place, however fleeting, in the vacant space of the unspeakable. A kind of prayer for those moments when clarity manages to pierce the darkness, just at the edge, at the first signs of dawn.
