The Danses for flute and string trio were commissioned by the Hélios ensemble, to whom the work is dedicated.

at the Grand Palais, to mark the closing of the exhibition dedicated to the great painter
Félix Vallotton (1865-1925).
Composed of four dances, the piece alternates between different moods and energies.
