For Solo Viola

Suzanne Giraud was a violist, and it was on the basis of this sensitive experience that she imagined a capricious piece for this instrument, in the spirit of a sarabande juxtaposed intermittently with episodes of humming expressing solitude, dreamy flights to cloud-like high notes, and sudden, lively outbursts, suddenly earthy.
It is up to the performer to appropriate these different episodes and inhabit them in their own way, recreating the different moods.
