A Marée basse…

À Marée basse… is based on 10 Poèmes salés by Macha Lemaître. To my mind, they represent a summary of children’s impressions of the marine world, of this living ocean, even when it occasionally retreats “at low tide”. I conceived this cycle as a series of short pieces that can be sung on their own, even if their complete interpretation is preferable.

Of a level of difficulty accessible to many choirs and children’s choirs, it contains a piano part that can also be played by students at mid-second cycle level, for example.
I’d like to thank Monsieur Philippe Le Fèvre for suggesting that I write these little worlds and, of course, Macha Le Maître, whose subtle poems took me back to childhood, to the Breton beaches I love so much.
