‘The Sonata displays a sparkling and free harmonic language. The piano part, though rich and ornate, never prevails over the violin line’. This work obtained the Halphen Prize for composition, with the personal congratulations of Arthur Honegger. Nowadays, the violonist Constantin Bogdanas is a devoted interpreter of it. Its first audition in Russia was given in december 2015, by the Russian violonist Victor Abramian who, building a program around it, presented it at the Chaliapine Museum in Moscow.
