Sighs of stars
Celestial bodies emit electromagnetic waves into space. These are regularly picked up by NASA’s spacecraft such as Voyagers I and II, and sometimes converted into sound waves. These waves, these sounds, have inspired me for the past few years.
Captivating, sometimes disturbing atmospheres, breaths or sighs, stretched or spinning sounds, pulsations or vibrations, persistent patterns: all of these provided the foundations for my piece Sighs of stars, an imaginary journey through the Milky Way…
