Les Mots d’après

Written in memory of my father, it is this open letter – a heavy responsibility for the performer – with all its impertinence, joy, shadows too, but above all respect.
Like a prelude for piano, the piece was conceived with all the research I wanted for the accordion, my original instrument: bellows play, held note effects, deoctaviation, exploitation of registrations…
…A real pleasure for me, and a real moment of writing… for Fanny Vicens, who commissioned it.
