Terzi Fiocchi

Terzi Fiocchi is a third deployment of my piece Fiocchi di Silenzio – ©2014, Éditions Musicales Artchipel – whose initial premise is the exploration of an intimate three-part dialogue between silence, fragile and fixed materials, and the use of aesthetically modified objects (O.E.M.) taken from the motet O magnum mysterium by Gabrieli. Here, silence is inhabited by diaphanous electronics that extend the instrumental timbre through spectral interpolations and additive syntheses. This work also has pedagogical implications linked to the situation of mixed music: learning the implications of triggering of sound files, development of listening skills between performers and electronics, correspondences and discovery of particular playing modes.
