NICOLAY Stephan

An eclectic character, he divides his time between computer work, a position as Maître de Chapelle in Cannes, an Occitan rock band he formed with flautist Benjamin Mélia, and directing children’s and adult choirs in various structures on the Côte d’Azur, with whom he experiments with sensory or multidisciplinary concerts, combining staging, plastic arts, dance and more. His musical output revolves essentially around the voice, whether as soloist or in choir. Whether his writing is inspired by the masters of the early 20th century, for whom he is particularly fond, or more contemporary, his work is characterized by an undeniable poetic force.
