Born in Orléans (Loiret) in 1983, Thibaut Vuillermet is a composer who entered the world of music at the age of five, first studying the piano, then the saxophone in his teens, following a full curriculum at the Orléans Conservatoire. He continued his musical training at the Maurice Ravel Conservatory (Paris).
In 2005, he was awarded the Prix de la Ville de Paris, and in

With a strong taste for cinema and an intuitive relationship with images, he began composing for silent films in his teens. He created several cine-concerts for them, including Hal Roach’s “An Eastern Westerner”, which won a prize at the “Strade del Cinema” international competition in 2006.
His chamber music compositions are used in conservatory examinations and competitions, including “Le Jardin Originel”, premiered in 2011 at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Lyon.
On stage, in 2007 he took part in the “Excentrique” festival, with a carte blanche of 15 pieces for the brass band “Les Effarés”, which he created, as well as the “La Nuit des arts et des mondes” festival in Paris.
He also composed for the “Convergences celtiques” event at the Théâtre Gérard Philipe in Orléans, setting Alfred de Musset’s “La quittance du diable” to music, for the “600 ans de la naissance de Jeanne d’Arc” show at Orléans Cathedral (2012), and for the “Liberté les Combattants de l’Ombre” sound and light show playing in Cléry since 2018.
In recent years, he has created soundtracks for short films such as “Starwars: The Grey Jedi” (2018) and “When Fire Flies” (2020); as well as feature films such as “Carga” (2018), “Automata” (2019) and “L’été nucléaire” (2020).
More recently, since 2020, he has been developing the concept of the “symphonic short film”. His first creation “Impressions de Loire” received 10 international awards.
His work “Andromède”, for trombone, image and orchestra, will premiere in November 2021 at the Théâtre d’Orléans as part of the “Centenaire cosmique” concert.
