Biography

After obtaining her Master’s degree in composition at the Kunitachi University of Music in Tokyo, Rikako WATANABE was attracted by traditional French writing, and went on to study at the CNSM in Paris and Lyon, where she won a brilliant prize. She also studied improvisation with Loïc MALLIÉ.

After obtaining her C.A., she was appointed professor of instrumental musical training and introduction to composition at the Paris Conservatoire in 2002.
