An essential interplay in which the energy and power of each instrument opens up a space of extreme fluidity.
Lyricism. Naturally so. Breath is essential.
Lyricism, here in an animal, feline, aerial piano, somewhere between leopard and eagle, leaping and crystalline, – with some mist in the lower registers – with a singular gentleness that calls for the subtle, diaphanous smoothness of the rubbed strings.
Here, a wide-ranging meditation pays homage to the extreme subtlety of the solo note, the crystal of the “pearl” piano. Energy: like a solar star with the most incredible of energies at its heart: the atom in fusion. There, energy is declined as total nuclear energy, unified and serene for ten billion years.
And on its surface, as our visual perception apprehends it, 150 million kilometers away, the vertiginous, volcanic momentum of Light and above all of the unheard-of blast of the electro-magnetic wave, this distant source which then reaches us like a broad stellar wave, the magical source of our aurora borealis on Earth.
The Sun, a star like an Earth without a shadow. Paradoxical sweetness. Serene fire.Feu serein.
