This piece for 6 violins, 3 violas, 3 cellos and 1 double bass, written for students at the end of their end of 2nd or 3rd cycle can be played by a professional ensemble.
The writing is not based on the accumulation of instrumental difficulties, but on the realization of variations in the intensity of nuances. variations in nuance intensity.
In all cases, nuances are so closely linked to expression, to the feeling of what you want to express. to express. They commit the instrumentalist to being his or her own conductor in the execution of a work.
A nuance will differ from one musician to another, but it’s really linked, in my writing, in chamber music and even in orchestra with a conductor.
He won’t get the same degree of nuance from everyone, even musicians from the same family. family. And that’s part of the reason why I divide musical lines a lot, and write nuances between parts, between groups, and the larger the orchestra, the more I take advantage of this independence to find different ways of playing and different intensities for each for each of the desks.
This is what justifies the title of this piece for string ensemble.
